Can Whoop control my thermostat? Not on its own. Whoop has no thermostat integration. CircadiaOS reads your Whoop sleep data — sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, and skin temperature — and uses it to refine the four-phase schedule it sends to your ecobee, Honeywell Home, Google Nest, or Sensi thermostat each night.
Recovery without action
Whoop tells you how well you recovered overnight. It shows you your sleep performance, HRV trend, and strain readiness. Then tonight you go to bed in the same room at the same temperature. The recovery data never reaches your thermostat. CircadiaOS closes that gap: it reads the data behind your recovery score and uses it to tune the room you sleep in.
Three steps, about five minutes
- Connect Whoop. In the CircadiaOS app, choose Whoop and authorize the connection. CircadiaOS reads your nightly sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, and skin temperature after each night is finalized.
- Connect your smart thermostat. Sign into your ecobee, Honeywell Home, Google Nest, or Sensi account and authorize once. Full list.
- Let it run. Tonight your thermostat follows a four-phase temperature curve built from your profile. On Premium, after 14 nights of calibration, CircadiaOS starts adjusting one setpoint at a time and holds each change for about one to two weeks, keeping only the changes your Whoop data supports.

Whoop provides sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and sleep performance scores. Whoop's continuous HRV monitoring is particularly useful — it gives CircadiaOS a dense, high-quality signal for detecting how temperature changes affect your recovery.
Recovery as a feedback signal
On Premium, CircadiaOS does not look at your recovery score directly — it reads the underlying data that drives the score. When it changes one setpoint, it watches for shifts in HRV, deep sleep duration, and wake events over the next one to two weeks. If the underlying data supports the change, it stays. If not, it reverts.
